This page explains how information is handled when you browse ChalkBench or send us a message.

Who handles inquiries?
ChalkBench administers this website and its contact facility. Send privacy questions or requests using the Contact page. Include enough detail to identify your request without sending passwords, identity documents or student records.
Information you provide
The contact form asks for your name, email address, subject and message, along with a simple spam-check answer and acknowledgment of this policy. Contact submissions are sent by email to the site’s administrator so the inquiry can be handled. The form plugin is not configured to keep a separate submissions database. Messages may remain in the receiving mailbox and its backups.
Do not submit identifiable student information, confidential school documents or sensitive personal data. The site is intended for educators and does not offer student accounts or invite children to submit personal information.
Technical information
Hosting and security systems may process IP addresses, request times, requested addresses, browser information and security events to operate the site, investigate faults and prevent abuse. ServerFreak hosts the site. The website uses WordPress, Loginizer and Imunify Security for administration and security, and LiteSpeed Cache for performance. Hosting-level backups may contain site data and technical records.
Why information is used
Information is used to respond to inquiries, review reported corrections, operate and secure the website, and address applicable obligations. Contact details are not automatically added to a marketing list. We do not sell contact-form information or use it for targeted advertising.
Cookies and local storage
WordPress uses necessary cookies for administrator authentication and related functions. Security components may use necessary technical mechanisms to protect the site. Public comments and external avatars are disabled in the foundation configuration. You can control cookies through your browser, although blocking necessary cookies may affect login or other functions.
Analytics, advertising and external services
With your permission, ChalkBench uses Google Analytics 4 to measure visits, page views, engagement and traffic sources. The Google Analytics tag loads only after you choose Accept analytics. Rejecting analytics does not prevent you from using the website.
Analytics may process page information, device and browser details, approximate location and cookie identifiers. Our tag removes query strings and fragments from the page address and referrer it supplies to Google. We do not intentionally send contact-form messages, names, email addresses or student information to Analytics. Google Signals and advertising personalization are disabled in our tag configuration.
Your analytics choice is stored in your browser for up to 180 days. You can change it using Analytics preferences in the footer. Rejecting analytics stops further tracking from our tag and attempts to remove the Analytics cookies set for this site; it does not delete data already received by Google. Your browser settings can also clear cookies and local storage.
Google may process analytics information outside your country. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Logged-in WordPress administrators are excluded from this analytics tag.
Display advertising, newsletter subscriptions and third-party form tracking have not been enabled in this setup. The contact form is not connected to an external CAPTCHA, CRM or email marketing service. Links to other websites lead to services with their own policies. This policy and consent controls will be reviewed before additional optional technologies are activated.
Service providers and international processing
Hosting, email and security providers may process information as needed to deliver their services. The site is configured on hosting in the United States, and processing may occur outside your country. We may also disclose information where required by law or reasonably necessary to address abuse or protect rights.
Retention and your choices
Inquiry information should be kept only as long as needed to handle the matter and related follow-up, subject to applicable obligations and backup cycles. Retention can vary between mail, hosting and security systems. You may ask us about information you have supplied, request correction or deletion, or raise a privacy concern through Contact. Requests are assessed under the rules that apply to the situation; limited information may be needed to verify the requester.
Updates
This policy will be reviewed when the website’s data practices change. The date above indicates the latest update.
